Utilities and Wi-Fi are usually included in the rate, but always confirm this before booking.
Which areas to consider
- Old Quarter — fewer serviced apartment options than hotels, but some exist for those who want the walkability with extra space.
- West Lake — the most common area for serviced apartments, popular with longer-staying expats and remote workers, offering more space and a quieter setting.
- Ba Dinh / diplomatic area — another common option, close to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex and well served by international schools and embassies if you're relocating rather than just visiting.
How they compare to hotels
Nightly rates for serviced apartments are often similar to or even below equivalent hotel rooms once you book by the week or month, particularly given the extra space and kitchen.
